Our initiative “Forget Us Not” is the initiative designed around the event of Holocaust. The event that took place during the World War II in which the Nazis and their collaborators attempted to murder all the Jews in Europe. Approximately, six million Jewish men, women and children had been murdered in ghettos, mass-shootings, in concentration camps and extermination camps. GPUH has taken this initiative to highlight the matter of holocaust, remember those who lost their lives, condemn these acts of ethnic cleansing and genocide.
A primary step that GPUH has taken is to observe Holocaust Memorial Day in remembrance of millions of people who were systematically murdered and persecuted. By observing this day, we seek to learn the lessons of the past and recognise that these acts of genocide doesn’t just take place on its own – it’s a steady process which can begin if discrimination, racism and hatred are not checked and prevented at the right time.
GPUH will arrange seminars to raise awareness about the concept of genocide in general, how to prevent it and how not to be part of such discriminatory and illegal acts of cruelty. Every human being is equal and have equal rights. Everyone has the right to live their life, in their own way, with their own beliefs. GPUH pledges to strengthen our efforts to educate as many people as we can.
We must make sure that our future generations understand the causes of the genocides and reflect upon its consequences. We vow to remember the victims of Holocaust and of other ethnic and religious groups who have been the victims of genocides.
We invite you to be part of this GPUH initiative and become our Peace Ambassador to promote Peace and Unity across the globe.
